Pre Prohibition Bottle Lamps Shine a Light on the Past

Guest Blog for Broadway + Thresher Magazine

As the craft beer movement continues to gain popularity, America is becoming more and more like it was in the early 1900s. Prior to the ratification of prohibition in 1920, our beer was produced locally by a wide range of small breweries. By the 1970s America was dominated by handful of giant brewing companies.

Peared Creation is shining a light on our past, literally. Their bottle lamps pay homage to a time when local was loved. Each lamp is handcrafted using pre-prohibition beer bottles and come with a story of the brewing company that they came from. A vintage faucet handle is used to turn the lamp on and off, and a cloth covered cord adds to the charm and authentic appeal.

Prefect for a bar, office, great room, or man cave, they are a mix of new and old, industrial and modern, a celebration of where we are and where we came from.
